Dr. Allan Sioson presented a paper entitled 'Experiences on the use of Automatic C++ solution grader system' in the 4th International Conference on Information, Intelligence, Systems, and Applications (IISA 2013) held in the University of Piraeus, Piraeus-Athens, Greece last July 10 to 12, 2013.  The paper described an analysis of the frequency of submissions, similarity of submitted solutions, categories of problems, and prospects on how to achieve an effective delivery of instruction when using an automatic C++ solution grader system.

 

The conference is co-chaired by Dr. Nikolaos Bourbakis of Wright State University, USA  (PI), Dr. George A. Tsihrintzis of University of Piraeus, Greece, Dr. Maria Virvou of University of Piraeus, Greece, and Despina Kavraki of BAIF, USA.

 

Dr. Joseph Sifakis of Verimag Laboratory, Grenoble and EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland, is IISA 2013's Distinguised Keynote Speaker.  Dr. Sifakis is recipient of 2007 Turing Award on his work in developing model checking into a highly effective verification technology, widely adopted in the hardware and software industries.

A total of 59 conference papers were accepted and presented in IISA2013.  The conference proceedings will be published by IEEE. Extended versions of selected papers will be published in related special issues of the International Journal on Monitoring & Surveillance Research Tech (IJMSRT, IGI Global), SpringerPlus (Springer), the International Journal on Computational Intelligence Studies (IJCIStudies, Inderscience), and the International Journal of Critical Infrastructure Protection (Elsevier).
