CCS Dean is member of Philippine delegation to Seoul Accord General Meeting

Dr. Allan Sioson, Dean of the College of Computer Studies, attended the recently concluded Seoul Accord General Meeting (SAGM 2013) in Seoul, South Korea.  Dr. Sioson's travel is funded by the Computing Society of the Philippines (CSP), in his capacity as CSP President and founding Board Member of the Philippine Information and Computing Accreditation Board (PICAB). Dr. Randy Gamboa and Dr. Bartolome Tanguilig of the Philippine Society of IT Educators (PSITE) and Edmundo Casino and Rolly Corpus of the Philippine Computer Society (PCS) complete the Philippine delegation. PICAB is a consortium of CSP, PCS, PSITE and PSIA (Philippine Software Industry Alliance).

SAGM2013 was held in the Millenium Seoul Hilton Hotel, Seoul, South Korea last June 22 to 23, 2013. Representatives from the current 8 signatories of the Seoul Accord are the main participants. Mr. Casino introduced PICAB to the main participants of SAGM2013 and stressed that PICAB intends to join the Seoul Accord as signatory in the near future.
